YOGAbarre. was designed to complement the barre., POWERbarre. and STRETCHbarre. classes offered at our studio. This 75 minute class strengthens and tones the major muscle groups by using the same type of exercises taught in a barre., or POWERbarre. class. Then emphasis is placed on stretching and lengthening these same muscle groups through a series of yoga poses, taught in a Vinyasa-like (breath with movement) flow. In this class, emphasis is placed on the Yogic Discipline of using the breath and postures to calm the mind. The class ends with a traditional Shavasana (Corpse Pose), which allows the body a chance to regroup and reset.
